Activating Paused Leads in a Sequence

Sometimes leads in your sequence may get paused, most commonly due to a broken email integration or being manually marked as paused. You can easily resume them so they continue receiving your sequence emails.

Finding and Activating Paused Leads

Start by going to the Sequences tab. Click View Sequence, then open the Leads tab located below the sequence name.

In this view, you’ll see the status of each lead. Any that are paused will appear as Inactive, and you’ll see the reason—such as “Email integration broken” or “Manually paused.”

To activate your paused leads:

1. Select the leads using the checkboxes

2. Click Update Status

3. Change the status to Active, then hit Save status

The leads will pick up in the sequence right where they left off.
