How Email Blasts Deliver

Understand how email blasts are sent from Pageport.

Updated over a month ago

Pageport email blasts are designed to protect your domain health while still giving you control over timing and volume. This article explains how delivery works and what to expect when sending out a blast.

Scheduling or Sending Immediately

When sending an email blast, you can choose to either schedule for a future date/time or send immediately. If you choose Schedule, the blast will begin sending at your selected time. If you choose Send now, the system will begin sending right away.

Staggered Sending for Deliverability

To protect your domain and avoid spam filters, Pageport sends emails one at a time, spaced roughly one minute apart. This helps your emails appear to be coming form a person and less like a mass marketing robot. Delivery continues throughout the day until your full list has been contacted.

Daily Send Limits

Your account has an email blast daily send limit to further protect your domain reputation. By default, this limit is set to 100 emails per day. So, if you add 250 people to a blast, 100 will receive the email on day one, another 100 on day two, and the final 50 on day three.

Increasing the Limit

If your domain health is strong or the message is time-sensitive, you can increase the daily limit to speed up delivery. We recommend keeping the cap under 250–300 emails per day with an absolute max of 500 per day to avoid triggering spam filters. You can adjust this limit before sending your blast under Settings > Email and calendar.
