To ensure your contact data stays organized, Pageport allows you to map tags from your CRM into Pageport. Since Redtail uses different naming conventions (like keywords or tag groups), this setting helps you decide how that should be communicated to Pageport. This guide walks you through how to set it up.
Accessing Your Redtail Integration Settings
To begin, go to your Settings in Pageport and click on the Integrations tab. Find your connected Redtail integration, then click the settings icon on the bottom right of the integration. This will open your CRM-specific sync settings. Under Redtail Default Settings, scroll down to find the option labeled Map Pageport Tags in Redtail To. This is where you'll define how CRM tag data maps into Pageport.
Choosing Between Keywords and Tag Groups
In Redtail contact segmentation may be managed using keywords, tag groups, or sometimes both. Pageport, on the other hand, uses a single tagging system. This setting allows you to choose whether Pageport should pull in keywords or tag groups from your Redtail and use them as tags in your Pageport account.
If you select keywords, Pageport will treat any CRM keywords as tags. If you choose tag groups, those will become your Pageport tags instead. It’s up to you to decide which system better reflects how your contacts are currently organized in your CRM.
Saving Your Tag Mapping
Once you’ve selected your preferred tag source—either keywords or tag groups—click Save to apply your changes. From that point forward, tags in Pageport will reflect whichever system you chose during the CRM sync process.
Tag mapping ensures your contact organization stays consistent across systems. Choosing the right source—keywords or tag groups—depends on how your team currently uses Redtail. If you’re unsure which one to map, we recommend checking how your contacts are most commonly labeled and choosing the option that aligns best with your existing workflows.
