Closed captions are automatically generated for videos uploaded to Pageport, making content more accessible and user-friendly. In this article, we'll show you how to edit those captions for accuracy and clarity, and how to turn them off entirely.
Editing Your Closed Captions
To start, log in to Pageport and navigate to the Asset library.
1. Select your video and click Edit captions
2. Download the captions file and click this one to open the editor
3. Click Open Subtitle Editor
4. Click New subtitles
5. Select English, then select the VTT file you downloaded
6. Make your changes, then click Export
7. Select the VTT file format, then click Export file
8. Return to Pageport and upload the new VTT file
Be sure to click Save to apply your edits.
Turning Off Your Closed Captions
1. Navigate to the Asset library and select your video
2. Toggle the Show subtitles switch off
