Sometimes, you may need to stop automated outreach to a lead - whether it's pausing their sequence temporarily or removing a lead entirely. This guide walks you through how to pause a lead in a sequence, remove the lead if needed, and understand how these actions affect their future engagement.
The default exit conditions on a sequence will finish a sequence for a lead when they book a meeting, reply to an email, or reply to an SMS message. Read this article for instructions to edit these conditions.
However, if you need to pause or finish a sequence for a lead for another reason, there are a few ways to do so.
Method 1: Sequences
To start, log in to Pageport and navigate to Sequences > View sequences.
1. Click Leads
2. Select the desired lead(s), then click Update status
3. Select the status from the dropdown menu.
Paused: Temporarily stop a lead in a sequence.
Finished: Permanently mark a lead as finished in a sequence.
Method 2: Lead Page
To start, navigate to Leads and click View Lead next to the lead
1. Click the Sequences dropdown, then click the checkmark to mark as finished or the pause button to pause the sequence
2. Press the pause button again to resume the sequence
Method 3: Call Task
To start, navigate to the call task for your lead.
