Email daily limits

Learn how to set or adjust your daily email sending limits to avoid spam and ensure your account can handle you incoming lead volume.

Updated over 2 months ago

When managing email campaigns in Pageport, it's important to understand the system's sending limits to ensure smooth delivery and avoid getting flagged as spam. This article explains the email sending limits and how to work within them effectively.

Accessing Email Settings

To manage your email settings, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings in your Pageport account.

  2. Select the Email and calendar section.

Within the email settings, you'll find a section labeled Sending Limits. This is where you can manage how many emails are sent each day through sequences and blasts.

Email Sending Limits

Pageport has two types of daily email limits:

  1. Email Sequence Daily Limit

    • This limit controls how many emails can be sent per day from automated email sequences.

    • Default: 100 emails per day

  2. Email Blast Daily Limit

    • This limit controls how many emails can be sent per day from one-time email blasts.

    • Default: 100 emails per day

The goal of these limits is to protect your email domain from being flagged as spam and to ensure consistent email delivery.

Increasing Sending Limits

You can increase your daily email sending limits if needed:

  • The maximum limit for both sequences and blasts is 500 emails per day.

For example:

  • If you attempt to send an email blast to 1,000 recipients, Pageport will automatically distribute the emails over 10 days (100 emails/day by default).

  • If you increase the limit to 200 emails/day, the same email blast would be sent over 5 days instead.

Best Practices for Managing Limits

  1. Plan Your Campaigns

    • When adding large numbers of recipients (e.g., 1,000+), consider spacing out when they start receiving emails.

    • For example, instead of adding all 1,000 recipients to a sequence at once, you can stagger the addition over multiple weeks (e.g., 100 recipients per week).

  2. Avoid Priority Conflicts

    • Pageport prioritizes emails based on the daily limit. If you exceed the limit, some emails may get delayed.

    • To avoid this, ensure your recipient list and sequence schedules align with your sending limits.

  3. Monitor Engagement

    • Gradual delivery helps you track engagement and avoid overwhelming your audience with too many emails at once.

What Happens If You Exceed the Limit?

If you exceed your daily limit:

  • Pageport will automatically queue the remaining emails and send them on subsequent days, respecting your daily limit.

  • However, this may result in delays or confusion about which emails are prioritized.

Adjusting Limits for Large Campaigns

If you frequently work with large recipient lists:

  • Increase your daily limit in increments, such as 200 emails/day or more.

  • Use sequences that gradually add new recipients over time to ensure smooth delivery.

Adhere to these guidelines to effectively manage your email campaigns without risking delivery issues or being flagged as spam. If you have further questions about email sending limits or need assistance, feel free to contact Pageport Support.
